Vallarta Real Estate Spotlight:

Once in awhile a property comes on the market that is of such high quality that the Owners don’t want to sell.  Such is the case for Vela Vista, Nuevo Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit,  Mexico.  http://www.vallartaescapes.com/go/2012/08/for-sale-vela-vista-marina-beach-residences/

Ask any Owner of these Beach Front Condominiums and you will hear pride of ownership shinning through.  The Developer held onto a couple of units for himself, but… alas the economy challenges out-paced his desire to retain Ownership.  So… his struggle is your advantage.  Check out the details and contact us for a private showing of these magnificent condominiums.

What Is Podcasting & How Does it Work?

A podcast is an audio or video broadcast that is distributed over the Internet.  It usually has a format similar to a radio or television show.  Because little equipment is needed to record a podcast and the Internet is used as the distribution medium, virtually anyone can create one and distribute their thoughts and opinions about anything to the world.

The term comes and initiated from a combination of the words iPod (a personal digital audio player made by Apple) and broadcasting.  Even though the term is derived from the iPod, you don’t need an iPod to listen to a podcast.  You can use virtually any portable media player or your computer.  (iTunes can syndicate your podcast for free.)

With powerful applications and video networks such as YouTube you can embed these videos on any website or blog and have your own show about your favorite subject, but if you are marketing a product then this can take a different dimension.

The art of podcasting is just one of the many emerging social media marketing topics that will be covered in depth at the 4th Tweet to be Heard conference held at Villa Varadero in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, November 9th to the 11th.  For more details on this exciting international conference please visit www.tweettobeheard.com

A couple of our selections for top of class properties are

A delightful B & B just blocks from the town square with just three rooms.  The entire property exudes class and style – Click HERE for more.

Ajijic Real Estate Spotlight:

The two brightest gems in Mexico are Puerto Vallarta and Ajijic, Lake Chapala.  The latter is a spot in the mountains with clean crisp air and beauty all around.  For those that choose this heaven as home we present a house to call home: http://www.vallartaescapes.com/go/2012/06/casa-contenta-in-san-juan-cosala/

Attainable financially and satisfaction to the soul, this is the home and town of your dreams.

Taxis Around Town and Beyond

If you need to get around the beautiful cobblestone streets of Ajijic  you can walk, take the bus or take a taxi, depending on the time you have and the service you need.  The price varies depending on where you are going the taxis are normally all parked by the plaza,  yeah we all know it all takes place at the plaza…  so there they are ready to take you wherever you tell them to, they know every little street in town.  So… if you are caught up at the store with tons of bags to carry, you can just give them a call and wait for a couple minutes and they will come pick you up to take you.

Each cab driver is different but if you get the name of the driver the first time, when you call again, you can ask for that same person and if he is around it will be the same driver all the time.

The local number to call for service is (376) 766 0674 in Ajijic and (376) 765 3511 and they start at 6 am and stop at 8 or 9 pm, you can get the cell phone number of an individual driver for after hours.

Ajijic to San Antonio is $50 pesos

Ajijic to Chapala  is $60 pesos

Local places in Ajijic is $40 pesos

You can always schedule an appointment and expect for them to arrive on time to take you, also if you are planning a long trip like say Michoacan, Guanajuato , or Guadalajara they make trips from town to town and also out of town…or they will pick you up just about anywhere you ask. Here is a list of prices.  Hope they are helpful, but… is always good to ask every time you are going somewhere different.  If you need to go, maybe across the lake?  a “car” taxi might take too long and can be kind of expensive, but you can take the “water taxi” yep… I said it, and although a bit different as far as going for a quick ride this is more like an all day excursion kind of thing…you can take la Barquita  Lago taxi, round trip from Ajijic to San Luis Soyatlan only during the weekend the boats leave at 11am and 5pm and the return trip from San Luis  Soyatlan leaves at 10am and 4pm to get more info you can call captain Salvador Serrano  (333) 132 4138 he can also arrange to have  a van waiting to take visitors to  Mazamitla…… the cost of the round trip is $200 pesos.

Ajijic/Guadalajara up coming events…

National  upcoming events…

SEP 15 – 16: Mexican Independence Day (Dia de la Independencia Mexicana) — Nationwide

Indisputably Mexico’s most important and most revered National Holiday is Independence Day – Dia de la Patria. During this time, Fiestas Patrias take place nationwide.  From the evening of September 15th, parties begin.  At 11pm, the President of the Republic shouts the Cry (El Grito) of “Viva Mexico” from the balcony of the National Palace – an event televised and broadcast on radio to every corner of the nation, as Mexicans cry back with “Viva!” in an emotion-packed traditional annual ritual.  The Zocalo in Mexico City brims and buzzes with unabated excitement.  Celebrations are particularly lively at the revolutionary Colonial centers, especially Queretaro and San Miguel de Allende – important and significant places before, during and after the war of Independence from Spain.  This is a great time to be in Mexico if you like celebrations, parties and a buzzing atmosphere!
