Your adventure at Los Veranos begins as with the friendly, bilingual driver takes you on a complimentary scenic drive along the southern coast of Banderas Bay. From the air-conditioned van or open-air Mercedes jungle cruiser, you’ll enjoy fantastic views of lovely beaches, palatial ocean-side villas and the craggy monoliths of Los Arcos, one of the most recognized landmarks in Puerto Vallarta.

The staff will give you a detailed safety briefing, taking you step by step through your upcoming canopy tour before securing you in a professional climbing harness.
We you walk through the tropical jungle while the expert guides share their knowledge and point out coffee trees, vanilla vines, exotic orchids and the agave plants used to make tequila. A short five minute walk through the jungle foliage brings us to a spiral staircase that rises safely to the first platform, where you are tethered while awaiting your turn. The first three cables are practice runs, designed to slowly introduce you to the zip lines and inspire confidence.

Using the highest quality safety equipment, you will gently glide on a steel cable to the first tree platform. You will enjoy breathtaking views of the jungle canopy and forest floor. Expert guides on each end of the cable will put you at ease and soon any fear of heights you may have melts into the beauty of your surroundings.
Very few people get a chance to experience this kind of encounter with nature. As you zip from tree to tree on a total of 14 cables, the magical wonders hidden from the ground are revealed – the longest cable is 400 meters long!
This zip lines, affectionately called “Banana Split”, “Speedy Gonzalez” and “The Big Enchilada”, are designed to gradually take you higher and faster. As you travel at speeds of up to 30 mph. you’ll find yourself gliding over a dramatic river gorge until the final cable shoots you over the river rapids to our riverside palapa bar.
At the end of the tour, the staff will greet you with a complimentary, ice-cold soft drink. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at the tequila bar which includes over 100 varieties of tequila (ask for a taste) or you can enjoy scrumptious Mexican food and specialty drinks at our restaurant. Additionally, you can spend the day relaxing in the river and enjoying the natural water-slides. Photography and video staff is on site to capture your visit. The footage of your canopy experience is available for purchase, along with souvenirs and Mexican handicrafts, at our gift shop.

We do not recommend the Canopy for pregnant women. For you animal lovers, our animal sanctuary provides an opportunity to become acquainted with our distant primate cousins and some creepy crawlers. The trained and professional staff will provide information on the variety of animals in our sanctuary and the local environment..
The faint at heart can muzzle with our exotic animals including squirrel monkeys, marmoset monkeys, the mysterious tejones and everybody’s favorite, Cancun the Cat – in a fun and safe environment.
All the animals are born in captivity, treated humanely and with respect, and receive regular veterinary care.
Tequila tasting goes way beyond shooters at Los Veranos Canopy Tours. Featuring straight up sippers to subtle mixers and hair-raising shooters, you can sample an amazing array of over 80 different kinds of agave inspired distillations at our tequila bar.
A taste of raicilla (pronounced “rye-see-ya”) is an essential part of the tequila tasting experience. Its production is one of the traditional local arts and you can try it at the tequila bar at Los Veranos.
